Strategic Security Program Manager, Google
Sam Roper has been with Google for 4.5 years as a Strategic Program Manager for global security & resilience programs. Sam is overseeing the creation and implementation of a workplace violence prevention program as well as an innovative global travel risk management system within Google – a topic she finds hugely interesting and from which she can draw her own experiences of travelling to high risk destinations.
Previously, she was a Regional Security Manager for EMEA, where her focus was on managing risk and ensuring security across Google offices, responding to incidents and keeping employees safe when they travel.
Prior to joining Google, Sam spent 6 years working for Control Risks where she advised clients on their travel security programs and oversaw operational security management within Francophone Africa.
Sam holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Queen Mary University, BA Hons degree in French, Spanish & Portuguese from the University of Nottingham and a foundation degree in Security Risk Management.
